Anandha L Ranganathan is a highly experienced data engineering leader with over 20 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working at RiskIQ as an engineering leader in data engineering, where he is part of the Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) team. The CPE Data Platform team is responsible for developing a streaming and analytics platform with a unified data lake for all event sources that power Symantec products and applications. Anandha has also worked at Symantec as a Senior Principal Software Engineer in Data Platform, where he was part of the Cloud Platform Engineering team. He has extensive experience in technologies like Kafka 1.x, Spark 2.3, Java, and Golang. Anandha has also worked at Glassdoor as a Software Architect in Data Platform, where he was the lead for the data platform and responsible for architecture, design, software, hardware, and security in AWS. He designed and implemented the new data platform and tech stack, which included YARN, HDFS, Spark, Tez, Hive, Sqoop, Kafka, Ambari, and Airflow. He also integrated with Databricks cloud for elastic scaling of Spark clusters for ad hoc ML/Data scientist queries.
